PITTBIC AWARD CERTIFICATES TO SHORT-COURSE PARTICIPANTS

The third cohort of short course participants of the Professional IT Training and Business Incubation Centre (PITTBIC) of the School of Computing and Information Sciences (SCIS) have been awarded Certificates at a brief ceremony held in the Council Chamber on Friday 13th May 2022.

The Participants were taken through demand-driven courses such as Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security, Computer Networking, Website Development, Graphic Design, and Computer Hardware.

Dr. V. A. Ankamah Lomotey, Registrar of the C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, who chaired the Ceremony commended the Participants for the bold initiative taken to pursue career enhancement courses at the SCIS, noting that the additional qualifications acquired make them more knowledgeable and marketable.

Speaking on behalf of the Dean of the School of Computing and Information Sciences, Prof. Edward Baagyere, Head of Computer Science, observed that Information Communication Technology (ICT) dominates the socio-economic issues in the world; therefore, the decision to participate in the training was a well-informed one. He was grateful to University Management and the resource persons for their support and commitment to the success of the programme. Prof. Baagyere urged participants to be worthy ambassadors of the School of Computing and Information Sciences in particular and CKT-UTAS in general.

Also present at the ceremony was Dr. Gabriel Armah, Head of the Department of Business Computing, Dr. Daniel Adu-Gyamfi, Head of the Department of Cyber Security, and Dr. Paula Wunaya, Postgraduate Coordinator. The rest are Dr. Moses Agebure Ampabilla, Coordinator PITTBIC, Mr. Abdul-Majeed Yussif, Head of Marketing &Events Management, and Mr. Valentine Aveyom, also of the SCIS.
