INTRODUCTION OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY PROGRAMMES AT CKT-UTAS

As part of efforts to introduce Nursing and Midwifery at the C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, a delegation from the Nurses and Midwives Council (NMC) is visiting the university. The NMC delegation, led by the Registrar, Mr. Felix Nyante, is made up of Mrs. Philomena Woolley, Deputy Registrar, Mrs. Hephzibah Gyimah, Deputy Director (Operations), Ms. Patsy Ago Adams, Operations Officer, Nana Boateng Agyemang, Senior PRO, and other administrative staff. The CKT-UTAS team was made up of Professor Eric Magnus Wilmot, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Albert Luguterah, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr V. A. Ankamah-Lomotey, Registrar, Mr. Anab Anaamoatulim, Director of Finance, Dr Margaret Kukeba, Head, Department of Nursing, Ms. Rosina Darcha, Head, Department of Midwifery, Dr Abdul-Razak Doat, Lecturer, Nursing.

Discussions centered around providing opportunity for the NMC delegation to give feedback on the draft curriculum of four programmes CKT-UTAS is planning on mounting at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Nursing and Midwifery.

Management of the university is grateful to the NMC for kick starting discussions towards the mounting of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Nursing and Midwifery.
