The C. K. Tedam University of Technology & Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) has officially admitted One-Thousand, One Hundred and Eighteen (1,118) freshmen and Women (comprising 804 undergraduate and 314 graduate students) as junior members of the University in respect of the 2022/2023 Academic year
This represents a significant increase in enrollment figures registered during the 2021/2022 Academic year.
This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor of CKT-UTAS, Professor Eric Magnus Wilmot at the 3rd Matriculation Ceremony of the University held on Saturday 11th February 2023.
The VC further disclosed that the University had been granted permission by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to provisionally roll out twenty-four (24) new programmes from the Diploma to the Ph.D. level while the necessary steps were being taken to obtain accreditation from the Regulator.
He reassured the Matriculants that notwithstanding the infrastructure deficit that has bedeviled CKT-UTAS, the University has the best faculty and support staff to make them competitive in the job market.
“You have to avail yourselves to be remodeled to be the competitive graduate that the University envisages for her students in the job market,” Professor Wilmot added.
The Matriculation oath was administered by the Registrar of Dr. V.A Ankamah-Lomotey. In attendance was a cross-section of Convocation, Senior, and Junior Staff of the University.
