Accommodation Arrangements

Students Affairs congratulate you on your admission to CKT-UTAS, the University that cares for you and is passionate about preparing you for the future.

You are to note that arrangements have been made to accommodate all admitted students.

The Hostel accommodation available, and recommended, are:

  1. University Halls on Campus Namely, NAVRO Hall (for females only), and ECOWAS Hall (for males only).
  1. University Partnered Hostel: SSNIT Hostel (on campus but for Mixed gender) etc., (see the site for more). This is a hostel that operates fully under the control of the University, and students in the hostel are provided services as those of Campus Halls.
  1. University registered Hostels: These are private hostels that have registered with the University and operate under conditions spelled out by the University. University Staff is responsible for taking of students in these hostels.

All students must book for any of the categories of accommodation from the university website.

The University shall not take responsibility for those who stay out of the recommended halls and hostels described above.

Take note of the following:

  1. All freshers are to report directly to the University upon arrival.
  2. Ask of student Affairs from the Security Staff at the gate (entrance of university)
  3. Do not allow anybody to misinform you. Work only with Student Affairs Staff. They shall guide you to get the right accommodation and help you through the registration.
  4. All-female students are by default assigned to NAVRO Hall. And male students for ECOWAS but the space in the male hall is limited so register early as it is the first come first serve policy the hall operates with.
  5. The hall fee for ECOWAS and NAVRO is GHS 700.

  1. The steps for booking are: a) Book, b) call Senior Hall Tutor, c) Pay fee, d) Upload payment voucher, e) check your room number and print the booking sheet to show upon arrival.
  2. The closing date for registration and payment to the University halls is 20th December 2021.
  3. All Partnered and Registered Hostels have been given certificates of operation so ensure that it is hanged/pasted on their premises, or they show you.
  4. If you are in difficulty, call the Senior Hall Tutors or Vice Dean of Students (contact below)

HOW TO BOOK FOR A ROOM IN A HOSTEL/HALL

For continuing students:

  • Enter your MIS credentials (student ID and password).

For fresh students:

  • Enter student ID and default password (12345).
  • Select your preferred private hostel from any category of your choice (A, B, C, or D).
  • Go through the hostel’s info and click on BOOK NOW (right pane).
  • Select the type of room and number of roommates.
  • Call the Hostel Owner before paying the rent charges.
  • Make the necessary payment.
  • Upload evidence of payment for approval.
  • Print out the billing form for confirmation and approval.
